Debbie Sadd is a Senior Academic in the Department of Events and Leisure. Debbie’s current research interests include the social impact of events, sports tourism opportunities and challenges as well the use of social media to measure event reach, volunteer management, and educational opportunities to be gained from mega-events. Debbie is also the lead academic on the Festival Maker Volunteer Programme, run in conjunction with Bournemouth Borough Council, and advisor to the British Council on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games educational programmes.
